Monstruo (Monster)

Se arrastra, envenena lo que toca.
Su fea cabeza asoma entre la gente
cuando el rencor y el odio asoman.

Seguro que lo has visto.
Sacando viejas heridas al sol
y rascándolas hasta sangrar.

Su veneno es letal
pero pocos lo notan.

Cuando lo veas, saca la espada
y hazle frente sin miedo alguno.
Entierra sus huesos
donde nadie jamás los encuentre.

Entonces,
quizá este monstruo de cólera,
guerra y rencor caiga por fin.

It creeps, it poisons whatever it touches.
Looming its ugly head among the people
where anger and hatred loom.

Surely you've seen it.
Removing old wounds in the sun
and scratching until they bleed.

Its venom is lethal
but they notice too late.

When you see him, drew your sword
and battle him without fear.
Bury its bones
where no one ever finds them.
